Rigid polyurethane foam (RPUF) is a foam made from polyurethane. Its usage in polyurethane products is second only to soft polyurethane foam. It is a polymer foam material with excellent performance.
The common rigid polyurethane foam is mostly closed-cell structure, with a closed-cell rate of 90% to 95%, which has the advantages of light weight, low thermal conductivity, high specific strength, and good chemical stability. At the same time, it also has the characteristics of sound insulation, insulation, fatigue resistance and convenient construction. Therefore, it is widely used in various fields such as building insulation, aerospace and transportation.
According to different usage requirements, we can make rigid polyurethane foam products with different densities and performances by changing the ratio of raw materials and changing the production process. For example, various imitation wood products, vehicle accessories and so on.
Because different customers have different requirements, most of the time, we are producing products with different densities. High-density polyurethane rigid foam and glass fiber reinforced rigid foam have higher strength and are often used as imitation wood products. Materials used for thermal insulation usually have relatively low density, mostly in the range of 28~50kg/m³. Products of that lower density are generally packaging materials.
In addition, since the thermal insulation performance of RPUF is superior to that of natural thermal insulation materials (such as rock wool, etc.) and other synthetic thermal insulation materials (such as expanded polystyrene, etc.), we have produced many thermal insulation materials based on this feature. . For example, the thermal insulation of external walls in the construction industry, the insulation of pipes and storage tanks in industrial equipment, the insulation materials of refrigerators and freezers and other facilities, etc.
